Early sponsorship program

The Pines Wind Farm is providing financial support for local community sponsorship opportunities during the investigations and planning phases of the project. Our Early sponsorship program is available for opportunities which will benefit local communities, including health and social welfare, safety, environmental, educational, youth projects, sport and recreation, culture, the arts and economic development.

What sponsorship is available?

The Pines Wind Farm Early sponsorship program is operating during the planning and approvals phase of the project. There is $50,000 per year available in funding, over two funding rounds.

Local groups, clubs, schools and organisations located in the areas around the project are invited to apply for funding. Organisations and groups are eligible for $1,000 to $5,000 in funding per round.

When do applications close?

The next two rounds of funding are:

ROUND 5

  • Applications to be submitted by 5pm 31 August 2026
  • Total funds available $25,000.
  • Successful applicants notified by 30 September 2026

ROUND 6

  • Applications to be submitted by 5pm 28 February 2027
  • Total funds available $25,000.
  • Successful applicants notified by 31 March 2027

Once you check the eligibility of your organisation and project (please download the sponsorship form and check), you can apply in the following ways.

Future sponsorship

If the wind farm is approved, community sponsorship opportunities will continue as part of The Pines Wind Farm Community Benefit program throughout construction and operation of the project.
